Join us for a very special service this Sunday for our older members, some of whom have been a member of the Unitarians their entire life. Come hear stories of our history, as these older members pass the torch to our younger members to continue creating a safe and supportive space for exploring your personal spiritual path, with the encouragement and inspiration of others.
Join us for this very special LQBT+ event, as we march with Rev. Beulah and Good Hope MCC and other LGBT+ supportive spiritual groups. We will meet at 11:30 am at the Gallows Hill Traffic Department in Green Point, to put on our new Cape Town Unitarians T-shirts and organise prior to the parade start time of 12:00 pm. For more information, contact Rev. Nima via whatsap at 0760249120. It’ll be fun!
Join us for this annual service to celebrate our inter-connectedness--with each other and with nature. Bring a small amount of water from a place that is special to you. During the service, people one by one pour their water together into a large bowl. As the water is added, the person who brought it tells why this water is special to them. The combined water is symbolic of our shared faith coming from many different sources.
(NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE ON 9TH DECEMBER due to the evening service) Join us for our annual Inspirational Interfaith Carol program. We share songs we all know and love, as well as reflect on readings about peace from many different traditions. We join together to support and encourage each other as we begin the holiday season. Families are welcome! For more information, contact Elspeth at CapeTownUnitarians@gmail.com.
Chalica is a week-long celebration of our Unitarian Seven Principles. It begins on the first Monday in December. Each day, a chalice is lit and the day is spent reflecting on the meaning of that day's principle and doing a good deed that honours that principle.
Get yourself a Chalica pack with inspiration and candles at church this coming Sunday. For more information, contact Natalie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
