Settled Minister since 2019

Reverend/Venerable Nima Taylor is a former Buddhist nun who also served eight years as an interfaith minister. She has written two books, Meditation for Non-Meditators, and Buddhism for Non-Buddhists. She is the founder of Inner Peace Buddhist Centre, a worldwide organisation for the study and practice of Buddhism in contemporary society, as well as Inner Peace Society, non-profit organisation promoting projects to uplift the poor through medical care and education. Gordon continues his long service as minister in our church  and is very active with interfaith activities.  He has been a leader in the world-wide International Council of Unitarians and Universalists and has a master’s degree in religious studies. Gordon has had a number of careers, most notably including a term as mayor of Cape Town. He welcomes the opportunity to support and encourage others. Roux practices as a Clinical Pastoral Therapist and Mental & Emotional Resilience Coach both locally (Muizenberg & Belville) and internationally (virtually). Roux served the Cape Town Unitarians minister from 2008 till June 2017.
